You Go Girl!

Congratulations to Nicola Wright, who jockeyed Cruising Kat to victory in Saturday's 57th running of the British Columbia Derby. At 40-1, Cruising Kat was the longest shot on the board. Over twenty years ago, in this very same race, my grandparents owned the 'longest shot' on the board. Lee's Craig Seven didn't make the winner's circle that day, but he did set the first two fractions. It was enough to make us proud and earn himself an extra bucket of oats.
