Saw Orlando last night. I quite enjoyed it. It was part history lesson, part out-of-body experience, an element of 'time travel' and it certainly provides a new angle to looking at both sides of an issue. I thought the 'party on ice' was breathtaking, this coming from someone who has skated since before I can remember. Throw in some fabulous costumes (and wigs), Tilda Swinton, Quentin Crisp as a 'old queen' and Jimmy Sommerville to cap things off. File this under pleasant surprises.
