2010 Olympic Flame

The lighting of the 2010 Olympic flame happens in a couple of hours from now. It will spend the next week touring ancient Greek sites. On October 29, 2009, it gets handed to officials from Vancouver's Olympic Organizing committee (VANOC). This is the route the flame will take once it touches down on Canadian soil. Interesting factoid, the flame will break the first record of the 2010 Games, as part of the longest domestic torch relay in Olympic history.

Learning to be frugal.

Whether by necessity or just survival instinct, I think people in general have become more frugal or at least conscious of their spending lately. Thanks in no small part of course, to the world-wide economic downturn. Here's a cool website I found on this blog.

I've been checking in on a few personal finance blogs this month and will eventually update my blog roll and post anything that I find particularly interesting. This is probably a result of nerves regarding the stock market and the month of October.

Blogger code - Then and now.

Back in 2002, when I first created this blog, my blogger code was this:

B1 d- t- k s u f i o x e+ l+ c

Now, it's more robust as you can see in the sidebar. Links from each code will lead to a decoder.

Hello Again.

I am back after a few years absence. Google has taken over since my last blog post and the template and other personalization has been lost. I haven't had a chance to look up any of my former blog roll but, hope to do that in the coming days.
